Iberian Horse Alliance Membership Requirements
Is your Horse or Pony of Iberian Decent?
The Iberian Horse Alliance is partnering with Etalon Equine Genetics for Horses and Ponies who are unsure of Iberian Heritage. Your horse must have a minimum of 25% Iberian horse genetic markers in their DNA test results to qualify for membership in the Iberian Horse Alliance.
If your Horse or Pony is not registered with one of the 60+ listed breeds you may submit your Etalon test results as proof of Iberian Heritage.

Testing Method
Our equine DNA testing requires an easy, non-invasive pulled mane or tail hair sample. All the genetic data is found in the root of your horse’s hair!

List your horse or pony's general information, picture, and other details.
At the bottom you can check whether or not for your horse or pony's test results to be public or not.

Print your submission form.
Pull approximately 40 hairs from the mane or tail. Do not cut to get the hair sample. The root must on the hairs. If your horse or pony is less than 2 years old please pull from their tail.
